I am getting better at purchasing digital downloadable software. It seems Outlook is not as good as Entourage.

The only problem i have is that it reacts slower in Outlook. I like this product and would recommend it. It’s Excel, Word, etc…just as they have always been on cd. But the program works as it always has for me. Like so many things in life, I’ve spent too many worthless moments preparing for some dark day that has yet to come (KNOCK ON WOOD!) Perhaps it was just easier to justify the $150 when I actually had something to hold in my hand.

It’s nice to know it’s always there for me should I need it, but it’s even nicer to know that I have the software without the garbage and clutter that accompanies the physical hardware.Traditionally (prior to 2009ish) I always felt that I needed the actual disks “just in case”. This is actually the third time I’ve bought a piece of software digitally through Amazon, which makes three less useless CDs I have to find room for after the initial installation. Much of the work Microsoft has done is to make the Mac version of Office look and work more like the Windows versions.

Office 2011 for Mac, was the first new version in several years the Business version adding the Outlook e-mail program (formerly called Entourage), which goes for upwards of $200.
